Boots on the Ground Alberta is staffed by a team of dedicated current and former First Responders and Military Members that understands the challenges other First Responders face.

Upon successful completion of our recruitment process we will provide you with Peer Support (CISM) Training, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), and our own in-house training.

We are looking for First Responders (Law Enforcement, Firefighter, EMS, Emergency Dispatch, or Nurse) and Military Members with the following qualifications

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Critical thinking skills.

  • The ability to work in a team environment.

  • Lived experience of mental health challenge (This can be personal, family or friend or something seen at work).

  • Be currently employed or can show proof of past employment working in the emergency services field (no minimum years of service required).

  • Please note that we expect a minimum commitment of two shifts (8hrs each) or four shifts (4hrs each) or combination thereof a month.
